to be on the go all the time? Are you constantly running from here to
there and back to here again? Up in the morning, getting the kids to
school, going to work, running to the store, picking the kids up,
running to the library, dropping the kids off, running to church, so
that ...

The old food pyramid, if you look at it
correctly, seemed to tell us to eat an awful lot of food a day. But
in essence it is correct in one area. Vegetables and fruits are very
important to your system. The fresher and the more natural, the
better. Organic is more expensive, but much better if you can afford

Its hot out. It so hot it may even be too hot to fire up the grill. Let's face it, after all. Who wants to stand in front of a grill that is billowing out hot air and smoke when it is already in the 90's outside. Who wants to turn on the stove, oven, or microwave inside the house, heating it up and making your air conditioner work harder. Eating healthy during the summer and even the winter does n...

I don't know about your area, but our summer here in Missouri has been extremely hot and humid. They have had constant heat stroke warnings. The heat index has been reaching upwards of 109 on several days. Depending on your physical capabilities, it might not be hard for you to stay cool, but unfortunately there are still households that don't have air conditioning. Those that do, are finding it h...

Unfortunately we get older. As we get older our bodies start to change. We get brittle bones, some of our muscles start to atrophy and we lose or gain weight. Even if we are active, eat properly and exercise, the body still starts to wear out. As you get older you may find that you are not as flexible as you used to be. If bowling has been a on going hobby of yours, you may find you are starting t...

Cancer is a debilitating and often fatal disease. Each year there is more and more research done on medicines to treat and eliminate different kinds of cancer cells. Unfortunately different types of cancer can be hereditary. Although there have been many health food researchers that insist eating certain foods and herbs can prevent or heal cancer, the FDA has never researched or approved these met...

It is never too early or too late to
find different ways of using your fresh vegetables. Even though your
garden isn't producing anything yet, it is a good idea to get your
recipes together so you will be ready when it is time to harvest.
I love tomatoes, in any way, shape or
form. Last year I tried container tomat...

I love tomatoes. My experience in
growing them has not been great. Last year I bought tomato plants
that were already started. They were actually labeled “container
tomatoes”. Tomato plants are not always what you think they would
be. The agricultural industry has taken so many of them and cross
bred them to have big...

For most people, Spring and Summer is
when they want to start losing weight. The healthy thing to do would
be to stay on the same regimen all year around. If you did this, you
wouldn't have to worry about the roller coaster ride of losing in the
warm months and gaining in the cold ones.
Healthy eating should always...

There have been many articles that talk
about reducing your intake of refined sugar. Sugar, one of the
sweetest tasting items you can buy, can actually help destroy your
body when too much is used on a constant basis. Those who have
diabetes or insulin resistance already know about the sugar intake in
their systems.
