The Effects of Stress on Your Body

You get up in the morning and get ready for work, getting the kids ready for school and your spouse out the door on time too. You work half the day, and run to the dry cleaners and bank when you should be eating your lunch, so more than likely you are running through a drive through to take care of your hunger.

You leave work at the end of the day, pick the kids up from school, drop them off for soccer practice, while your run to the grocery. Then you pick them up from soccer practice, run home, start dinner while throwing a load of laundry in the washer at the same time. Dinner is over, there are dishes to do, the kids need bath, and you pick up in the house as you walk from room to room. The clock strikes ten, or eleven, or maybe even twelve, and you haven't even had a chance to jump in the shower.

Did someone mention “Stress”? Stress is a big part of our lives, and for most of us day in and day out. Stress is also dangerous to your body. Distress is the bodies reaction to too much stress. Stress can play a part in headaches, high blood pressure, arthritis, diabetes, skin conditions, hair loss, sleep disorders, asthma, depression, eating disorders and heart and stroke problems.
