I have given you information on a lot of foods that can heal and/or prevent illnesses and diseases. There are so many, that trying to incorporate them into your daily diet is not even feasible, but if you work them into your diet, as often as possible, you will find yourself feeling healthier and will have the satisfaction of knowing you are doing the very best that you can to maintain your health.
The last two foods on this list, and by no means the end of the list of healthy foods, are sweet potatoes and whole grains. Both of these foods are very important to your overall health, along with having other properties that heal and prevent illnesses and diseases.
Sweet potatoes are on the top of the list of all around nutritious foods. It contains Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Anti-oxidants, Vitamin E, Dietary Fiber. Research shows that the Sweet Potato is effective in preventing and arresting cancer cells, diverticulitis, constipation, colon and rectal cancer, heart disease and diabetes. The sweet potato, alone has more dietary fiber than most natural remedies. The Sweet Potato is also important in maintaining fluid balance and cell integrity in your body. They also contain a good amount of Potassium.
Whole grains are the last food we will talk about here (for now). There are many different types of grains grown today, including but not limited to Wheat and Barley. Whole grains are a good source of dietary fiber. Research also shows that they are an excellent combatant for high cholesterol. They also help to reduce the chances of stroke, heart disease and type II diabetes. They are rich in Vitamin B, Vitamin E, Magnesium and Iron. |
