At least once every couple months, you hear about a new fad diet. Promoted by key figures in society and show business, many people spend tons of money on diets that end up breaking them with either a minimum of weight loss, or new medical problems.
The question arises, “ Is there a diet that really works”. Dieting depends on the make up of the individual trying to lose the weight. It depends on their physical make up, their medical and health make up and their mental makeup. All three of these have to work together to make a diet work.
Even the diet sodas with zero calories can cause bloating, which can cause weight and make you uncomfortable. Bloating also makes it uncomfortable to exercise, along with causing pressure and gas that can cause acid reflux. Limit the amount of carbohydrates, fat and sugar you consume. Work on eating more healthy fresh vegetables and fruits, and whole grains. Cut your portions down, and eat five small snacks a day instead of three large meals. Seeing a dietitian may help you find the right foods and amounts for your particular dietary needs.
Walking is one of the best exercises. It works the whole body, increases oxygen and blood flow, and boosts your heart rate. Try adding a few push-ups and sit-ups in the morning and evening to work on those fatty areas.
Exercise bands are a wonderful invention. They are great for people who cannot exercise at a gym or do high impact exercises. Not only will they help burn calories, but they will also tone and tighten your muscles. |
