It is full of antioxidants and helps cleanse your liver. There are three kinds of cabbage, Green, Savoy and Red. Red cabbage, however, because of its color, does have more nutrients and health qualities that green cabbage. Red and Green cabbage have the smooth leaves, whereas Savoy has a more ruffled texture and is a yellow green in color.


Cabbage contains Vitamin A, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B6, Vitamin K, Folic Acid, Vitamin C, Calcium, Phosphorus, Potassium, Carbohydrates, and Protein. Cabbage, all by itself, would make a perfect meal.


Cabbage has other health qualities also. Eaten every day it helps the digestive system, constipation, weight loss and water retention. It is also used on skin wounds, to alleviate breast engorgement, and is great for preventing anemia.
