My father is a veteran of a foreign war. He is also a member of the VFW, which until now I though was just a club for veterans. They are so much more. They are involved in helping veterans, helping soldiers over seas, and helping their community.
They also hold a lot of activities at their halls. If you know a veteran that belongs, you can go as their guest. If you are a veteran of a foreign war, and you don't belong to the VFW, you need to check on how to join. You can get more information at “VFW is a Social Club for All”.
