People who are called green thumbs, are usually the type of people you always see in their vegetable or flower garden each year; growing beautiful plants, shrubs, or fruit. They love their hobby, and they might even garden year round in their back yard greenhouse. This way they can enjoy gardening year round.
Many people who have a greenhouse in their back yard, find it much easier to purchase a greenhouse kit. A greenhouse kit would include, everything that they need to get started. They are usually fairly easy to construct, and with a little help, can be put up in a few hours. Kits are available in various materials of your choosing.
Others build their own greenhouses out of glass doors, or whatever materials that they find suitable for building a greenhouse. Ensure that the greenhouse is well ventilated, so that the plants, vegetables, and fruit do not rot. Do not place vegetation too closely together, or there will not be enough air circulation for the plants.
Wire racks are a good idea, and work very well for putting your plants on. You can space them out, and set several on the wire racks. As you water, the excess water can then run off the plants, and will run through the cracks of the shelves. It is important to insulate your green house, so that the plants do not freeze. The use of solar panels works well for this. The greenhouse must be properly heated, to ensure that the vegetation does not freeze. Keep in mind, that some plants will need more heat than others depending on the type of plant.
