Diet and Exercise for Children

It is a well known fact that there are more kids in America who are overweight than anywhere else in the world. It isn't because they are eating healthy either. In fact, it is because American kids are eating all the wrong things and they are not getting enough exercise.
It is so important to teach them while they are young so that it becomes a habit and second nature to them to eat healthy. You need to have more fruits and vegetables in your home and prepare healthier meals instead of allowing them to order a pizza or fast food.
You also have to limit their time for TV and the other handheld games that they have to play with. You should have a family exercise time set aside for the entire family so that they get used to doing it on a daily basis. You cannot wait until they are in their late teens and try to get them off of the couch when you’ve let them lie on it for all those years. You have to decide what is more important to you for you and your kids health and show them that if they take care of their body they will have healthier bodies. They will be less likely to have heart problems or diabetes or any other illnesses that are linked to being overweight. The best thing you can do for your child is to lead by example. This will mean that you will have to walk the talk as well.
