Aerobic exercises such as aerobics, jumping, running or jogging often take a lot of energy and cannot be done by everyone. Isometric exercises, on the other hand are exercises that are done with resistance. Several of them can be done from a standing, sitting or lying down position. This makes them very good for elederly people, recovering from surgery and physically challenged people.
