Health and Exercise for Children

There has been a major increase in obesity. Children are watching more television and playing more video games. As the years go on and the technology improves more and more, the children become more reluctant to get out and play. A child should at least take an hour or two a day to get out and play. The simple games like tag, hide and seek and also even Red Rover are safe and fun games to play outside. The children would love it even more if the parents would go out and play with them.
Not only is exercise very important but so is eating the right foods. Some of franchises that kids love so much are like McDonald’s, Burger King and also Wendy’s. A lot of these restaurant’s foods are unhealthy for children to be eating on a regular basis. These foods are loaded with carbohydrates and calories. It does not hurt to go to these restaurants, just not on a daily basis. Children should eat as much fruit and vegetables as possible.
With the right exercise and the right food intake, a child can grow up healthy and strong. Always remember that you as a parent are in the child’s life every day. As long as you make the right choices on what to do with your child and what they eat, they will grow up with this knowledge and pass it down to their children. Keep in mind, no matter what size or shape your child is, always let them know that you are proud and happy who they are and who they may become.
