Quick Cabbage Soup

Is your schedule hectic these days but you still want to incorporate wholesome, fresh and healthy foods into your life. Here is a recipe for Cabbage soup that cuts out some of the work for you. Cabbage is good for lowering your cholesterol, regulating blood pressure, building your bones, and just about everything including weight loss.
 
Quick Cabbage Soup
Ingredients:
  • 1 bag of coleslaw mix or shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 bag of shredded carrots
  • 2 tablespoons of minced garlic
  • 1 package onion soup mix
  • 1 package sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 small package of cubed pork or chicken (optional)
  • 1 large can organic chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 bag fresh baby spinach leaves
  • 2 small red potatoes ( diced)
Directions:
  • Rinse/wash all vegetables
  • combine all ingredients with 8 cups of water in large pot
  • cook until all vegetables are cooked through
Note: If you have a large crockpot, you can put this all together and cook on low all day while you are out at work or school.
