Healthy Snacks for Children

All the little ones are back in school. Reading , Writing and Arithmetic or is it Computer Literacy, Basic English and Advanced Accounting now? all take a lot of energy. They come home from school and they need a snack.
 
Do you let them grab a bag of chips, or a candy bar? Maybe you have a big cookie jar on top of your refrigerator?
 
You are not doing your children any favors by letting them eat snacks like this.
 
Try these instead:

  • wash some baby carrots and leave them in a container in the fridge, they can grab a handful when they run in the door.
  • cut up some celery and spread peanut buttter or lowfat cream cheese and leave on a platter
  • slice up some green peppers and put it with some cherry tomatoes and have them waiting by the door.
  • keep plenty of bananas, oranges, grapes, kiwi, or apples on hand.
  • peanut butter on unsalted crackers will oast their energy without spoiling their appetite for dinner.
 
these are all healthy snack ideas that will boost their energy, is good for their bodies, and will help them eliminate fat.
