High Cholesterol is a big problem today. It can cause plaque to build up in your arteries and cause heart attacks and strokes. Triglycerides are also related to pancreatic cancer. You know all about the dis to lower your cholesterol, but what if your main problem is the Triglycerides? Here are afew tips about lowering your triglycerides.
 
Stay away from sugar, yes, eat as little sugar as possible, that includes table sugar, can sugr, brown sugar, powdered sugar, Honey, Syrups, Ice cream, Preserves, Frosting, Molasses, Pastries, Jams, Doughnuts, Jellies,Frozen Yogurt, Candies, Confections, sweetened Jello.
 
Stay away from fruits that contain high fructose sugar such as Kiwi Fruit, Apples, Cherries, Bananas, Plums, Raisins, Dates, Figs, Grapes, Persimmons, Blue Berries, Plums, Watermelon, HoneyDew, Pineapple, Oranges, grapefruit and Pears.
 
Stayway from fruit drinks, fruit juices, smotties, sweet coffee drinks, sports drinks, mocha or chocolate drinks, and regualr sodas.
 
Now when when it says stay away from them,it doesn't mean that you totally have to eliminate them from your diet. Since a lot of them have several nutritional and health benefits, you will want to eat them in small quantities, eat them in moderation.
 
Include in you diet more dark green leafy vegetalbes like romaine, or green leaf lettuce. Eat Cauliflower in place of potatoes, Eat Broccoli, yellow squash, tomatoes, brussel sprouts, winter squash, red peppers, green peppers and sweet potatoes.
 
Remove commercially raised red meat and replace it with turkey, chicken and fish. Stay away from fried and charbroiled foods, and go with baked, broiled, boiled or steamed foods.
 
Eat more low fructose fruits like Apricots, Nectarines, Peaches, Black berries, Cantelope, strawberries and raspberries.
 
Include plenty of exercise, make sure you get enough rest, reduce your stress, and change your eating habits and you can get this under control.
 
Always try diet and exercise first before going to medications. That is always the healthier way of doing things.
